President Donald Trump threatened Wednesday to “cut off†funding to schools if they do not reopen in the Fall after closing due to coronavirus concerns.
“In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and many other countries, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS,†Trump said.
“The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families,†he continued. “May cut off funding if not open!â€

They should cut off funding on GP. Schools are the responsibility of the States, not the Federal Government. Completely abolish the Department of Education, and use those funds towards balancing the budget.

Agree strongly with the President on this. This educational malpractice will affect kids for the rest of their lives.

I say keep the public schools closed. Give parents vouchers to send their kids to private schools which are predominantly Christian conservative. We can then start to deprogram them from the liberal brainwashing that takes place in the liberal public schools. Give those schools large tax breaks so that they can lower their costs. Keeping the public schools closed as long as possible is a win-win for our kids and our country.
Also -- those who live in an area where the schools remain closed -- renegotiate your tax bills. Not open, why should we pay taxes?? Another win-win.
