Social distancing was declared to be in tatters yesterday as jubilant drinkers called time on lockdown and descended on the nation's pubs.

Cities across Britain were heaving on a scale not seen since Boris Johnson ordered bars to shutter over a hundred days ago.

Drunkenness, brawls and vomiting returned to the country's nightlife as millions of pints were poured and Super Saturday celebrations became livelier into the evening.

I wonder how long it takes before coronavirus returns... just like it did in South Korea, just like it did in the USA.

And they have the gall to call US covidiots.

You just can't keep people locked up and out of touch with one another forever. In Pennsylvania last week, Allegheny County bars and restaurants first were prohibited from serving alcohol, then in a particularly draconian move, they were shut down altogether. Needless to say, residents are flocking to dining establishments in neighboring counties and states.

But I agree, it's tiresome to hear people from other countries criticize the USA's covid response when so very few are doing any better.
