Michael McCaul, Republican leader on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released an interim report on the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. His report highlights how the Chinese Communist Party cover-up of the pandemic helped allow a local pandemic become a global pandemic.
“After months of investigating, it’s become crystal clear the Chinese Communist Party’s cover-up of the coronavirus, especially in the early days of the outbreak, played a significant role in turning what could have been a local epidemic into a global pandemic,†McCaul said in a statement with the report.
“And, unfortunately, the World Health Organization [WHO] under the leadership of Director General Tedros [Adhanom Ghebreyesus] only exacerbated the problem by repeatedly ignoring warnings about the severity of the virus, including from their own health experts, while at the same time parroting the CCP’s propaganda without independently confirming their claims,†McCaul added. “This was a failure of monumental proportions and it is imperative that we uncover the truth so we can set up future safeguards to prevent this from happening yet again.â€
The report is linked in this article. Much, to me at least, is familiar, but some is not. Stepping back from examining each nut and bolt, one thing that is appalling, IMO, is how few nuts and bolts we have in our pile. Piecing together a chronology like that of this report or that in this Congressional Research Service report,

Even more appalling, IMO, is how little interest Dem "leaders" exhibit for understanding the Covid-19 pandemic. I think this due to their knowledge that the facts of what happened contradict their anti-Trump politicization.
