All St. Louis Rioters Released From Jail After Prosecutors Fail To Charge Them

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's office said she needs more evidence from police in order to prosecute.

St. Louis, MO – All 36 of the rioters arrested over two nights of arson, looting and destruction throughout the city have already been released from jail because prosecutors have not charged any of them.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said that St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner failed to charge any of the rioters with a crime within 24 hours of their arrests, leaving jail officials with no choice but to release them, KSDK reported.

Can she be charged with aiding and abetting rioters by her refusal too charge them?  Oh, she'll claim she didn't get what she needed but did she pass that info of what was needed on to police before time ran out?  She just created more rioters by refusing to charge the ones she had.

All rioters, arsonists, and looters have been released from jail in St. Louis, Missouri, without facing charges thus far by city prosecutors.

Throughout riots in St. Louis this week, only 36 individuals were arrested for rioting, looting, and committing arson. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch confirmed that all of those arrested, though, have been released from jail without charges against them.

“In a stunning development, our office has learned that every single one of the St. Louis looters and rioters arrested were released back onto the streets by local prosecutor Kim Gardner,” Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said in a statement posted online.
