Written by Jessica Chasmar on Jun 4, 2020

The Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a resolution this week that bans textbooks and other teaching materials that deny climate change exists or cast doubt on whether humans are to blame.

The resolution, introduced by school board member Mike Rosen, also directs the superintendent and staff to develop a plan for offering “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice” in all Portland public schools, the Portland Tribune reported.

“It is unacceptable that we have textbooks in our schools that spread doubt about the human causes and urgency of the crisis,” Lincoln High School student Gaby Lemieux said during board testimony Tuesday.

“Climate education is not a niche or a specialization, it is the minimum requirement for my generation to be successful in our changing world.” ...

Climate change is already having an enormous negative impact on nature and people around the world—which will only become worse—including present and future Portland Public Schools students. You have to give the left credit.

From BLM to this.

They've bent reality to achieve their agenda. And the great unwashed masses are certain that their experts are right and anyone who disagrees is a science denier... Even though consensus has nothing to do with science... And their claims are unconfirmed by any actual test which is science.

Leftists.  Go figure.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-
