'No one was gassed': Kayleigh McEnany spars with Jim Acosta over 'misreporting' White House clash with protesters

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany pushed back against accusations that tear gas and rubber bullets were used to disperse large crowds outside the White House over the past several days.

During Wednesday's White House press briefing, McEnany exchanged terse words with CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, saying there had been a lot of "misreporting" about tense standoffs with police in front of the White House.

"No tear gas was used, and no rubber bullets were used," McEnany said before Acosta interjected that "chemical agents were used" against protesters. "Again, no tear gas was used, no rubber bullets were used," she responded.

Hmm, so there were a few instances of “misreporting.”

Can I be candid? We’re all adults here. It’s been an unrelenting torrent of lies since before Trump was elected.
