Look, I may not recall everything during HWB's presidency... but I do remember everything that occurred during GWB's.   That you see the past four years of Trump's as even remotely comparable to GWB's first term is .... bizarre.  And no, I'm not going into that past history on this thread.   I am concerned with the deep state left's ongoing attempts to overthrow the USA as a democratic representative republic.... in favor of their commie left ""utopia"" (See:  Venezuela). 

It's happening.   And if you don't see or realize that we have to unite ... ALL of us here.... in order to fight against and win against these commie cretins... I don't know what to tell you.   That will require you to get behind and support the president we HAVE... ie Donald Trump.   Think you can do that?

Most of what you listed, happened to Bush.  Trying to make Trump out to be some Martyr who has experienced things no President has experienced before or after...is just silly.

Who wiretapped Bush?  Who threatened to jail the Bush gals?  When did a special counsel use extra-constitutional powers to investigation Bush's campaign, administration, colleagues and family?  When was Bush impeached?

I'm not trying to paint this President as a martyr.  He's not, he's a fighter.

What's "silly" is your inability to admit what's been happening over the past four years .... the depth and reach of which, as an American, should make your blood run cold.

Even though he did say something Saturday, I agree he should log off Twitter and make a public comment - because that's what presidents do. Even a 10 minute speech would do. But as I said, people are so entrenched, it probably wouldn't change a lot of minds.

Yeah, but we all know electronic communication loses a lot in translation seeing on a screen versus seeing the body language and emotion.

Social media isn't the same as being seen by the American people...not just his Twitter mob...addressing the entire nation.

Delivering an address during prime time from Oval Office is NOT submitting to the news media in any way shape or form.  In actually its more of a form of speaking to people directly than 140 characters on twitter that most Americans will never see.

You are exactly right.  And I think that is what angers the MSM the most....   Not being able to control the report with their left angle.

Still, tough for the MSM to control an Oval Office address too.  He really needs to get up there and look Americans in the eyes, and provide some details of how this is going to be stopped.

I think Trump should relocate the White House to Florida brick by brick.  Then invite Republican Congressmen and Senators to do the same, leaving one from each house behind to cast a unified proxy vote for the entire GOP.  All those fancy K Street buildings would go to waste since there would no longer be any GOP legislators around to lobby.  Decay would spread out through the entire District and into Maryland and NoVa.

He's already made comments and has been criticized for the comments stating that him speaking only made matters worse. He is being heavily criticized for calling governors weak.

Reports have also stated that his 'advisors' or split on what he should do.

Secondly, IMHO I believe that most blacks are appalled at what happened and have set out to peacefully assemble; meanwhile we have radical leftists that are seizing the opportunity with the hope of inciting a full blown civil war.

Whatever Trump does say, the radicals will seize the opportunity and say that is why they are now protesting.

Twitter be dammed.  He'd have still beat Hillary.  Twitter is a pie stye that he enjoys frolicking in.  I've said since day one he should have left the Twitter to the folks that are paid to do it on his staff and rise above this crap.

The headline is factually incorrect.   McEnany wasn't pushing back on "calls for Trump to address nation amid riots, protests".  She was pushing back on the press lying about Trump remaining silent through this.  He hasn't.  Watch the presser.  McEnany owns all their asses.

Presser doesn't start until the 20 min mark.  At around the 40 minute mark, McEnany shows a video of what the press isn't reporting.  It was stunning.  As the video ended, she simply walked away.  The press was completely silent.  They couldn't say a damn thing.

Having noodled on this a bit.... a thought...
Peace without a resolution to the situation is simply postponing the inevitable.
We need our country back, no deep state, no socialist radicals trying to overthrow the government.
I don't believe it is in our best interest to settle...

 

The silver lining is the ‘16 election. It gives a glimmer of hope that enough people saw through the facade of political rhetoric and voted in an outsider who addressed issues no other politician thought to even mention.

I don't mind taking a break from that medium if he finds another suitable medium that accomplishes similar results of speaking directly to the people.

If he can accomplish that by standing in the Rose Garden or sitting behind the Resolute desk in front of live cameras, then I am all for it.

I do not want him to abandon the techniques he uses to communicate directly with Americans as the press and networks are the enemy.
