Trump praises Secret Service after hours-long confrontation with protesters

President Trump on Saturday praised the Secret Service after the White House went on lockdown the previous night due to protests over the death of George Floyd, with Secret Service and other law enforcement officers locked in an hours-long confrontation with demonstrators.

“Great job last night at the White House by the U.S. @SecretService. They were not only totally professional, but very cool. I was inside, watched every move, and couldn’t have felt more safe,” Trump tweeted.

“They let the ‘protesters’ scream & rant as much as they wanted, but whenever someone…got too frisky or out of line, they would quickly come down on them, hard - didn’t know what hit them.”

I watched this til 2am...they did a great job but I think they needed more SSPolice..

Mine too...I think they should have arrested the ringleaders...even I could tell who they were in the crowd.
