It’s another major news story that the far-left media machine has chosen to ignore.

Papua New Guinea, a nation of nearly 9 million people, has long been plagued by the scourge of malaria and so too has it used the drug Chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine for decades to combat the disease. This widespread use of the drug has led to a fascinating finding during the recent coronavirus pandemic.

Of those nearly 9 million people, only eight have tested positive for Covid-19 and there have been ZERO deaths.

This is the kind of remarkable result that so many in the media would attempt to dismiss as “anecdotal.”

But what then of other nations like Papua New Guinea that reside in the “malaria belt” and so have populations that frequently use Chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine?

All of the East Asian countries have fared far better than the west when it comes to coronavirus cases. I'm starting to think that it has less to do with any policy differences and more to do with something inherently different about either the virus or the people there... or both.

I seriously doubt there is a lot of business or tourist travel between Papua New Guinea and China. So while there may be some, part of Papua New Guinea's Covid-19 story would be that there is probably little or no importation of the disease. The nation's tropical climate - this coronavirus, like many other viruses, doesn't do well in heat - is also quite relevant.
