Washington health officials: Gunshot victims counted as COVID-19 deaths

Basically, the State of Washington counted as a Covid-19 death anyone who was coronavirus-positive at the time of their death, regardless of actual cause. In concrete terms, over 1 in 8 of WA's reported Covid-19 deaths were unrelated to this coronavirus. Another 1 in 20 were deaths in which Covid-19 was a factor but not the sole cause.
