Daily coronavirus death count more than doubles in Ohio

The daily coronavirus death count reported by Ohio officials on Saturday more than doubled the number of deaths the state reported the day before.
Ohio reported 84 additional COVID-19 deaths Saturday, according to state data. Saturday’s numbers more than doubles the 36 deaths the state health department reported Friday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Ohio has reported a total of 1,956 COVID-19 deaths, including 200 probable deaths, according to state data.
The state also reported 614 new COVID-19 cases, adding to a total of 31,408 COVID-19 cases, including 2,120 probable cases.
Ohio has reported an average of 575 COVID-19 cases and an average of 45 deaths over a 21 day period, based on the health department data.
