House Republican: Let’s impeach Judge Sullivan over Flynn case

Impeachment fever is back, baby! This time around, though, the other side has it, and its target is on the bench rather than in the Oval Office. House Republican Bill Johnson of Ohio announced his intent to seek an impeachment hearing for Judge Emmet Sullivan for his recent orders in the Michael Flynn case, saying that Congress needs to remove him for “tyranny”:

    Rep. Bill Johnson of Marietta says he’ll introduce a resolution seeking an impeachment inquiry of Judge Emmet G. Sullivan, arguing that Sullivan has “far exceeded his authority” in the case of Flynn, who admitted lying to the FBI but later withdrew his guilty plea. Sullivan appointed a third party attorney to present legal arguments against dismissing Flynn’s case after Attorney General William Barr declared the Justice Department was dropping charges against Flynn.

Since he doesn't use the rule of law, Constitution, or follow the Supreme Court, he should be impeached.  But Nazi Pelosi and the rest of the scofflaws in the democrat party make that decision, so the judge is safe.  He is an ideal judge for democrats, he rules the way the democrats tell him. :judge:

Sullivan won't be impeached for this, but he should be removed from ever considering a political trial.  Of course, that won't happen either, because Democrats will seek him out whenever they want a republican railroaded.  It's how the "legal system" is gamed.

Agree. The best we can hope for is a scathing decision from SCOTUS. Even then we know leftists cannot be embarrassed.

Sullivan may not have broken laws with his actions, but this judge clearly is violating his oath to administer impartial justice. That much was established by his unprecedented action when he brought in a former justice to essentially act as an adjudicating prosecutor after the fact.

Many legal scholars have weighed in on this issue and have said Sullivan‘s behavior strains the definition of legal ethics, traditions and practices, fairness and impartiality.

He must, at minimum, be removed from the Flynn case.

Sullivan called Flynn a 'traitor' in court, and wanted to change the charge to treason.
All for supposedly lying to a hack FBI stooge in a kangaroo 'hearing'.
Sullivan is a quintessential 'fanatic' more than he is a judge. But, as always in America, the color of his skin will protect him from any consequences.

He probably has a child or grandchild that COULD be facing charges if a Dim prosecutor chooses to file them.

I'll take Things That Are Not Going to Happen for $200, Alex. Because Pelosi & the House Dems. It's well deserved, but it's not going to happen, not in 2020 at least.
