Democrats give Biden an earful on VP choice
By Scott Wong - 05/20/20 06:00 AM EDT

Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.), co-chairwoman of the Women’s Caucus, is pushing her home-state colleague, Rep. Val Demings, for vice president.

Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) wants presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden to select Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, who Clay believes would help Democrats win the all-important swing state — and the White House.

Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.), a Hispanic Caucus member, said it’s critical that Democrats have a strong woman of color on the ticket, someone like Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) or Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).

...and this is why the endomorphic loser runway supermodel from Georgia gets such high ratings from the leftist pundits.  She bobs to the top of that pool.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16

It is obvious to me that the VP will be a big player... Biden's equally obvious dementia signaling his short reign and the ascension of the REAL shot caller from VP to Pres being a foregone conclusion. Whoever is selected WILL become president... So it will be a big name, instantly recognizable... Because THAT'S who they are really electing.

I continue to have doubt that Biden will be the nominee.  I simply don't believe he can withstand the rigor required to get there.  Maybe this is why all the lockdowns have been so prolonged.  Keep Joe in his basement and put a virtual firewall around him.

Here is a scenario to send shivers.

--  Biden chooses IL Senator Tammy Duckworth
--  Duckworth resigns the seat
--  JB Pritzker appoints... wait for it... drum roll... Barack Obama

Let your mind work that one for awhile.

Congress has to vote on the replacement VP..... so as long as the republicans can at least hold the senate, no wackos would get in.

No, no.  Pritzker appoints Obama to fill Duckworth's vacated Senate seat.  Obama would become Senator Obama.  Move over Chuckie Schumer.

Sorry, I don't think a president is eligible for any federal post after retirement from office... Well, certainly not sorry in this case. Obummer will never be an federal official again.

I think you might be wrong...  John Q. Adams was elected to the House after he left office.  The only restriction is he/she can not be in the Presidential Succession and must be passed over.

Perhaps so... But I had it in my head that after two terms, a president was done as a federal employee.., And I may well be wrong. But whether or not, I think you will see Obimmer moving onto the world stage if anything, rather than back onto the national stage.

Maybe can be appointed?

Anything they said went into one ear,and straight out the other without even slowing down.

@Lando Lincoln

That IS the Dim plan.

For that very reason, this virus scare is not going to end until after the elections.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't Presidents restricted to two terms?

If they weren't,Bubba would be front and center. Or at least waiting in the wings to be called out of retirement.

I don't see a narcissist like Obomber agreeing to step down and accept a "lesser position" as a mere US Senator. Too full of himself.

Agreed. But I can see him sponsoring Michelle as a stand in puppet.

Well,I have no problem seeing "him" thrilled to be in the position of "First Lady",but I just don't see the general public buying into that program.

After all,he was nothing more than an "AA Hire" from the beginning.

I agree, partially @sneakypete . But there are an awful lot of identity voters if you catch my drift. He might agree to First Lady if he could land a UN headmaster as well.
