'Obama was in this up to his eyeballs': Rand Paul summons Grenell to testify about Flynn unmasking

Sen. Rand Paul announced Wednesday he’s summoned acting Director of National Intelligence Rick Grenell to testify before a government oversight subcommittee next week about a newly released list of Obama Administration officials who sought the unmasking or incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn during the transition to the Trump Administration.

Paul, a Kentucky Republican, said in a press conference Wednesday the list of names reveals the top leaders in the Obama Administration, including the president, were involved.

"The only question that remains, is what did President Obama know and when did he know it,” Paul said, adding later in the press conference that “President Obama was in this up to his eyeballs.”

Paul is chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management.
