Three submarines joined 7th Fleet ships and aircraft this week during a joint advanced warfighting training exercise on May 2-8 in the Philippine Sea.

Task Forces representing every warfare specialty – surface, subsurface, amphibious operations, reconnaissance and surveillance – participated in a series of integrated exercises to develop warfighting concepts, improve maritime lethality, and enable real-world proficiency and readiness to respond to any contingency.

The submarines participated in a variety of events alongside U.S. Navy surface ships and reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft.
