That thought did cross my mind.  This is one of those times I pray he listens to his advisors and stays away from mocking Biden.

Nothing can mean he's "safe," but the numbers reported are no cause for depression.  The COVID thing hurts him, yes, but "fatally" remains to be seen.

Well put.  Outside a number of poor quarterly earnings reports upcoming which might cause some market jolts, I feel that most of the news now will start being positive.  The case rate has not only plateaued , but seems to be tapering down (fingers crossed).  We are slowly but surely gettiing the nation back to work, and the dims are nominating a blithering idiot who happens also to have dementia.

All things considering right now, I'd have Trump's chances at just a hair above 50/50.

That's probably correct, and the Rats haven't shot themselves in both feet, yet (they're working on it).  The election "polls" are still the equivalent of generic matchups.  The Rats don't even know who is going to be the Nominee yet.  Primarius Interruptus is a real thing.

I'm not clutching pearls for Trump just yet.  I am more concerned we keep the Senate, with my local Republican in trouble.
