Smokin,
Biden has been a fraud and hustler since puberty and the only thing that has
changed, is that he has worsened since.
He is 77 and afflicted w/early dementia, a condition media lefties ignore/obscure.
His specialty is the intake/outflow of graft, for which his son is a prime beneficiary,
as well as the hordes of flunkies grabbing at his pant legs.
He is utterly unprincipled which is why the hard left salivates at the chance to elect him.
That the nation has a choice between these two in November is the essence of the noise
I have been making about the critical malaise that afflicts us as a people and a nation.
Anyway, be well.
I would love for us to be choosing between a Madison and perhaps an Adams, or better, a Jefferson, but these are different times and that is just not the case.
We are where we are with the political assets we have, where they are.
We have been long traveling the road to socialism, to consolidated Federal Power, and for over a hundred years at the mercy of a central banking system. That is all in the wrong direction.
Before we start getting this country going in the right direction we have to turn it around. There are those who fight that turn on every front, even some who supposedly claim to be allies in that, but in reality are not.
I'll grant that, QED.
Sometimes, changes in direction as opposed to blithely sailing along on a steady course, are messy. Things break, people get washed overboard, and with half the crew fighting for the wheel and some in the rigging trying to twist the sails, it isn't going to be pretty.
But what is the alternative?
The weasels of the MSM have been smoked out. They liked the march to communism and totalitarianism because they were aligned with the seat of power and themselves felt powerful, and even though they are mainly useful idiots, they know they are kingmakers, too. With that march disrupted, their power not only is diminished, but despised, threatening not only their perches as the makers of opinion, but their very livelihoods.
No wonder they are fighting the return to the Republic so hard.
It's going to be messy, going across the waves can be some hard going, and the boat is being rocked.
We need someone who can handle that and the mess on decks, and still bring the ship of State about.
As gruff, as 'blue collar' as he comes off at times, that's what we need right now, and that's part of his appeal.
Not to make a long term habit of it, mind you, but someone who can kick the deck weasels to the scuppers and crack a noggin or two to get the sails set is likely to prevail. Mutiny is for calmer waters.
And if he's more like Patton than Montgomery (I know, Monty was British), I can handle that, too.
It is sad to need such a man at the helm but I think we do.
In that I agree that our choices may not be perfect, and far from the principles I would like (which would spark revolution overnight, at this point), but the changes to get here have been gradual, over generations, and the changes back may well have to be also.
You be well, too, friend.
