How so?  I bet that Solyndra was one of those companies that should have closed instead of taking taxpayer money.  Wishy washy RINO's is more like it.

This was a free for all.  Businesses do fail and its likely many of them were already failing.  But surprise!  Government to the rescue with money they don't even have to pay back.  Christmas tree's.

You mean like every organized religion any of us can name, who are all in the business of selling acreage in Heaven?

Quote
Many mom and pop businesses still hanging in there without the grant.  But the government was in such a hurry to increase deficit with out of control spending that they are having to ask for money back.  The temptation for free money really was that perfect bait on the hook for the love of money.

Hypocrite! I can guarantee you that regardless of the name of your cult,it is standing at the head of the line with it's hand out.

Solyndra was a Democrat deal all the way, half the money got kicked back to the DNC.

It becomes a question of oversight, and who was overseeing that deal?
With the absence of adherence to the letter of the law in our investigative agencies, throughout the Obama era, but a legacy, in part from the Clintons and a virtual tradition carried through into the start of this administration, Partisan corruption in the three and four letter Fed Gov became the order of the day. Some of that has been exposed, which is a record for the last couple or three decades. Just the profusion of leaks from staff who should not have leaked (classified) material to any source is an indication of the endemic problems within the "deep state" bureaucracy, and that, too is at least being exposed.
I await prosecutions, but the web of interrelated criminality that kept certain high officials teflon-coated is just beginning to be dismantled, and that after three  years of enduring the entire Impeachment nonsense.

If, in the interest of Partisan Politics, the POTUS has been scrutinized at levels which were not even justified by any material that was verifiable, by the opposition, first in hopes of keeping him from being elected, and then in hopes of removing him from office, and nothing worthy of note was ever found, it just might be that he is not the problem, but those who have devoted their most ardent efforts to this endeavour have indeed continued to waste millions of dollars and countless hours which might have been better spent in doing the business of this nation.

We'd have been better off having them inventory disaster supplies--if we could have kept them from stealing them.

I'm sorry the message is lost in the hollow partisan words.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

What hollow partisan words?

The bottom line is that there are agencies in the US Government we pay to do a job, and they've been doing something else. They have been acting on behalf of one political party and to the detriment specifically of another.

That isn't in their job description (unless that Party foments sedition), and they should be fired.
Just as anyone else from those agencies who doesn't bother to fulfill the conditions of their respective oaths of office.
If they don't want to do their job right, they shouldn't have it.
I don't care which party they are playing for, their job is to uphold the Law, not break it.

Perhaps I misunderstood.  None of them are doing their jobs.  They should be fired, and we should never, ever sign that kind of spending bill.  They are having to backtrack now because they invited corruption in legislation they couldn't wait to sign.

When you view Conservative as Fiscally responsible.  Party that adheres to Conservative principle that holds to the idea that businesses rise and fall on their own.  And that corporate giants that aren't financially responsible go down in a Capitalist government.

I really wonder who is the Conservative?  It sure isn't the people signing these bloated bailout bills.

The very heart of political conservatism is civil libertarianism and fiscal conservatism.
There is no doubt that big.gov salvationism has nothing at all to do with Conservatism whatsoever...

Oh, you are talking Congress, and I'm mostly talking the bureaucrats. Congress is elected, nearly half by idiots and grifters, and sucklings of the Great Teat. We need a more fundamental change in what people expect the government to do in order to effect the sort of change that will affect that balance.

No, talking about Government.  Congress, Senate and president.  I am talking about bureaucrats all who enable sucking off the government tit.  Whether its people on welfare who don't want to work, or illegal aliens.  People who want guaranteed income to sit on their asses all day.  But I don't excuse this kind of sucking on the government tit either.   Corporations who jump on the opportunity of scooping up millions of government grants. All of it irresponsible.

And when it ends with cutting Social Security to pay for COVID welfare maybe others will get upset too.

What is so frustrating about liberals/ lefts, is they fight to have THEIR freedoms taken away too.  FIGHT, to have their freedoms destroyed. SMH.  So, then it IS mental disorder, we are dealing with.

Yep!

But, then, that is the difference between those who want freedom to...vs freedom from.

I can't hate someone who was most likely a composite fictional character, and who has been dead for thousands of years even if he were real.

And the word you were looking for was "accepting".

I don't worship Trump,either. Unlike you ,I don't need a Maximum Leader.

@LegalAmerican

Well,not exactly,

The ones capable of having an actual independent thought see themselves as shepherds, and leading the flocks, not following. They are the elitists who "know what is best for us all, except for them,or course." After all, they are superior beings who are capable of thinking for themselves, right?

As for the rest, they are little more than sheep in human form.
