Documented: The Mainstream Media Completely Botched Their ‘Reporting’ on the VA Hydroxychloroquine Study

Posted at 11:00 am on April 24, 2020 by Sister Toldjah

My RedState colleague Betsy Vaughn wrote a detailed piece Thursday that talked about how French Dr. Didier Raoult, who had previously conducted a study that showed a 91% effectiveness rate in Wuhan coronavirus patients treated with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, alleged that “scientific misconduct” had taken place in the VA hydroxychloroquine study that came out late last week.

Dr. Raoult cited a number of issues with the VA study, including the fact that the hydroxychloroquine and hydroxychloroquine-ZPAK combo were given to patients who had already been intubated. That’s a pretty significant point against drawing definitive conclusions about hydroxychloroquine from the VA’s study.

Again, whether they botched it or not depends on what you assume their purpose is.  Since any successful treatment protocol involving hydroxycholorquine or chloroquine would be regarded as a political win for Trump, rather than a win for humanity (which any successful treatment protocol would be, objectively), and the media's chief motive is always to ruin Republicans in general and Trump in particular, pretending that the VA study was sound is not a botch but a resounding success.

Others have critiqued the VA study for not pairing hydroxychloroquine with zinc -- a protocol advocated on the basis of clinical experience and a theoretical justification, which has been being used successfully in LA.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

The key to the three-legged stool is a lowly mineral supplement, zinc.  And I agree with you, the VA Survey (It's not even a "study") story isn't botched because the point of the survey is to damage Trump.  And the anti-Trumps lap that stuff up like a cat will with antifreeze.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

The bottom line is that the reporting of such crap as being valid results not only hinders effective treatment of patients elsewhere (even doctors watch news), but presents to the public that there is no treatment instead of an effective regimen.
Why?
Because in the absence of an effective means to fight the disease, the disease is more scary.
With a pharmacological protocol, the whole concept of it being the Black Death reincarnate would go away.
The need for lockdown would, too, and tyrannies large and small would have to return to Constitutionally authorized behaviour.
The amount of lasting economic damage would dwindle.
The storm would be over, we could start putting lives and businesses and jobs back together.
America would get back to work, and the resurgence would play better for the President in November.

And then we could take a look at all the exculpatory evidence the Democrats were burying while going after the POTUS and others, and the perfidy of those who have enhanced the narrative that is this virus.
And that criminal behaviour, shot through a wide variety of agencies like badly metastasized cancer, could be exposed.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Look at the hospitalization/death curve in New York, where an arsenal of medications, including the HCQ regimen, are being aggressively tested. So far, it's a bell curve. In Europe, it's been a much slower decline.

Title and premise:
"The Mainstream Media Completely Botched Their ‘Reporting’ on the VA Hydroxychloroquine Study"

No they didn't.
They "reported" on it exactly as how they were TOLD to report on it.

They did their job well, as per their "instructions"...
