New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not going to let a crisis go to waste if she can push for more socialism in America.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Senate passed a $484 billion deal Tuesday to replenish a small-business loan program that's been overrun by demand and to devote more money to hospitals and coronavirus testing.

President Donald Trump tweeted his support, pledging to sign it into law. It now goes to the House, with votes set for Thursday.

Just before the Senate passed the measure, AOC took part in an interview with The Hill and detailed what she would include in her version of a coronavirus relief bill.

Spoiler: it would probably bankrupt the country.

Ocasio-Cortez suggested giving $2,000 per household plus $1,000 per child to each family in America.

(128 million households) X ($2,000) = $256 billion

(74 million children) X ($1,000) = $74 billion

$330 billion PER MONTH.  This woman needs to be incarcerated.

It beats having to show up to work for a lousy minimum wage job.  Let's see....$2,000 / 20 is $100/day, 100 / 8 is $12.50/hour.  OK, MUCH better than going to a MW job.

Also, it will never work economically. If everyone gets $2000 a month, then $2000 a month becomes the new zero.
Prices will adjust upward rapidly and 2000 dollars will not buy anything, maybe a loaf of bread or a pack of smokes.

Value is based on scarcity.
Flooding the country with free money will make money worthless, since it is free.
Democrats are either blind idiots or fools, or they are deliberately trying to destroy America, because that's exactly what would happen.
This scheme of free money for everyone has been attempted many times in history and every time it crashed the value of money and the national economy. That's what always happens. Free money means necessarily that money is worthless. It's free. And everybody has tons of it. Where is the 'value' in that?

Oh wait, she won’t pay?!?

I really hope her constituents have seen the light and she’s out in November. They deserve better representation than she is giving.
