“I just got off the phone with my friend, a retired Marine Special Forces Lieutenant who was just briefed for over an hour by a 3-Star General. What my friend was told by the general is that the coronavirus was a Globalist ploy that failed and has been hijacked by the Trump Administration to be used as cover to keep people inside and to prevent collateral damage during a military op of mass arrests. Some targets are very violent and they will fight back. For your safety, it’s best to stay inside.

The operation is live. Arrests are happening in Southern California now. It’s being overseen by NAVSPEC. They will arrest 160,000 people in 90 days, including members of the mainstream media and Barry Soetoro.

They’re starting now by taking down Antifa, MS-13, the mafia, drug gangs, and other mercenaries hired by Soros and used by the Dems/Deep State.

There is no such thing. First of all,there is no such thing as a Special Forces Marine. The ONLY Special Forces in the US Military are in the US Army,and their unit designation is "Special Forces".

Secondly,there is no such thing as a "Retired Lieutenant".  Lieutenants are,by definition,young men in their early 20's. The ONLY way for a Lt to be retired is due to medical reasons,and they are all almost always promoted to 0-3 upon retirement.

Furthermore, Lt's  are NOT "briefed by a 3 Star General". Not ever. It's the other way around.

And to drive the final nail into this coffin of deceit,ANY officer of ANY rank that gets on a freaking telephone and briefs a reporter on an upcoming classified mission is addressed as "prisoner number whatever",not Lt.

In short,this is a fairy tale.

I may have missed them but I don't ever recall seeing an SF Lieutenant.  Maybe a pilot but I don't think they were SF qualified.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

@Bigun

They used to have a lot of them back in the 70's. The last time I saw one was when I was working as a G-Chief with Robin Sage,and damned if he wasn't an actual 2nd Lt. I think it may have freaked him out when I ran over and hugged him. 2nd Lt's are fun,like puppies. You might have to smack one across the nose occasionally with a newspaper to get his attention,but the end result is always very rewarding. You kinda feel like a proud papa when you see one bolt on his Captain's bars.

IIRC,the 2nd Lt I hugged at Robin Sage was in a reserve SF unit. Like all the others,bright and eager,ready to learn,and a joy to be around.

Like you,I doubt you will even see one in  a reserve SF unit these days. Damn shame,too. Too many officers seem to think they already know it all by the time they are 0-3's,and you can't teach them a damn thing. Most are only in SF as a "career enhancement move" anyway,and want to get a staff position so they can get promoted to Major,and sent back to the conventional army to command more than a handful of people. They all have "Stars" in their eyes. Used to be an officer had to accept he would go no higher than Full Colonel if he went SF because there was only ONE General officer in all of SF,and he only had one star. Now you can't hardly walk around without bumping into the bastards,and damn near every one of them has a conventional army mindset.

Yeah, you poor thing.   Your parents never told you fairy tales when you were young?   Those are not lying or evil.   They're just unintentional falsehoods.  What the left spews is anything 'but' unintentional falsehoods.

No. Neither could read or write.

Seriously.

For different reasons,both had to quit school around the 3rd grade,and go to work.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

My recollection is: By the time a new officer completes OCS, jump school,  SF-ranger school, he will have time in grade and time in service, ready for automatic promotion to 1st Lt.
 Approx.

My time was peak of Vietnam (but in Germany) , and you moved thru ranks quickly. I made Spec5 in 15 months.

A college friend of mine never saw combat, until he was a Captain, OCS, Jump, Ranger.

He stayed in until reaching 3 star general. Total combat arms. Vietnam, Grenada,  Balkans, IraqI- (Desert Storm.

His next to last assignment was top command of all E urope combat arms, then his final assignment was Leavenworth, including prison, War college, et. The entire base commander.

Then to the golf links at St. George Utah, Tuscon, and Raytheon.

(skinny white golf team guy, dangerous street fighter, becomes Airborn Ranger) He took away my girlfriend, but i got a better one, a year later

Our mutual friend, died a few years laago. Note white guys like us grew up with SoCal Hispanics, and we learned to Street fight, to the degree we were left alone.

"Let's take a Trip Down Whittier Blvd."  Like Cheech and Chong, American Graffiti, Beach Party  cruising radio (or 45 player) blasting,surfboards and golf clubs out the back. Drinks, not Hugs, not drugs

He rolled his car after induction. I spun out a couple of times too. It is awonder any of us survived the next few years. My Fiancee saved my sorry self.

@truth_seeker

There were no Ranger units in the US Army in the early 60's. Ranger School was mostly reserved for West Point graduates to help their promotions up through the ranks. Yeah,you saw the occasional enlisted swine wearing Ranger Tabs,but they got to Ranger School by making that a requirement for them to re-enlist.

Plus,in the SF of the 60's,there were a fair number of enlisted swine with battlefield commissions. Most were to 2nd Lt. Granted,they only remained 0-1's for the minimum amount of time before being promoted to 0-2.

Even then it was rare to see one promoted to 0-3 It was typical to see one a couple of years later wearing SFC stripes after being riffed. They just didn't have the career schools under their belts that were needed for field grade promotions,and no time to attend the schools. Because of this it made better sense to the army to not promote them to 0-3,and to promote someone that did have a army school background that would possibly lead to field grade ranks.

Bob Howard was the only one I knew personally who got a battlefield promotion to 1st Lt,but he was already in his 30's and had been put in for the MoH on 2 separate occasions before he got it,and the commission,the 3rd time he was put in for it.

Even then,most of these guys got riffed back to enlisted rank later because they had been too busy serving to have had time to attend all the required schools. Once again,Bob being the exception. He retired as a Colonel. Besides having a MoH,he ate,breathed,and lived "the US Army",and on top of that was one of the nicest guys you ever met. I never even met or talked with anyone that was jealous of his MoH. If you knew Bob when he was a SSG before getting "the medal",you knew Bob as a Colonel. Same guy.

BTW,Bob went through Ranger School as  Major,and it has been said they made it harder on him  because he was career SF by keeping him in a command position the whole course. Which,as I am sure you know,meant he got less sleep and less rest than any of them,and he was probably close to two decades older than most of the students.

As for Ranger School today,we now have the Ranger Battalions and it is now a career field. I am sure that ANY WP grad can find a slot in Ranger School regardless of their career field,but it is a requirement if you are going to serve in a line position in a Ranger Battalion as an enlisted man or an officer.
