Thank you for your thoughtful, and meaty reply
I think the base is all President Trump has left,
Me, too. But to Trump's credit, he finally realizes that it that it won't be enough against an energized left.
He's trying, though.
At his SOTU address, I saw more black & Latino people featured than I did in my last foray into Camden, NJ.
I've also noticed that POTUS no longer fights on twitter with the young, black, Latina, immigrant, and Arab women of the Squad (LOL--could he offend more nascent demographics?). Hell, he even gave AOC a backhanded compliment last week.
2016 was magical for Trump--everything broke his way:
1. A hated, loathsome opponent who had the nerve to be overconfident
2. A more despicable treater of women than him in Slick which blunted the impact of The Access Hollywood tape
3. Comey reminding everyone at the 11th hour of Hillary's corruption
4. Weiner's laptop
5. Minority turnout being depressed because of no Obama
6. A Democrat VP candidate who (LOL) did NOTHING to help the ticket
7. Trump being the new and fresh alternative
8. Wikileaks
9. Dems not being as internet savvy as Pascale.
10. Leftists thinking that victory was assured because of the pre-election polls.
11. The GOP establishment's error in not taking Trump seriously until it was too late and coalescing around a more "acceptable" candidate. The Dems sure did that to get rid of Bernie.
The Dems have tried to address every single point. They have been thorough and efficient in their planning to take down Trump.
