Surgeon general on coronavirus deaths in week ahead: 'Going to be our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11 moment'

Surgeon General Jerome Adams said U.S. citizens need to prepare themselves for an excruciating week of coronavirus deaths.

“This is going to be the hardest and the saddest week of most American's lives, quite frankly. This is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment, our 9/11 moment; only it’s not going to be localized. It’s going to be happening all over the country. And I want America to understand that,” Adams told Fox News Sunday.

As of Tuesday, the coronavirus had killed more people in the United States than 9/11, the deadliest terror attack in the country’s history.

He said an aggressive response, such as practicing social distancing and staying home, could change the trajectory of the pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also recommended that all citizens wear cloth face masks when in public.

“I want Americans to understand that, as hard as this week is going to be, there is a light at the end of the tunnel if everyone does their part for the next 30 days,” he said.

The U.S. has more than 312,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Sunday morning, according to a Johns Hopkins University tracker. More than 8,500 people have died from the virus, and at least 15,000 people have recovered.

Tired of the gloom and doom from the "experts" who don't really know jack about this virus. 

Ok, so this might be like 9/11 or Pearl Harbor.  But how about saying, like those calamities we will get through it?  America used to be tough.  We fought multiple fronts in World War II and we won.  We didn't whine.  We didn't hide in a corner. 

What the hell happened?  Now America is just a collection of snowflakes cowering in the face of the enemy and we are encouraged to do so by so-called leaders. 

We are going to beat this virus.  That is the message America needs to hear -- not 'WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!"

This fellow cannot be certain what lies in the future. I would say:

--Unfortunately by the time we found out about it, China had witheld the truth and we lost valuable time. Lives were lost due to this.

When we knew, we acted fast. Lives were saved.

Each country responded on their own. But we stopped travel with China. Some called that racist.

Soon we may enter the peak of the crisis, and we hope our actions have held deaths to the minimum.

When it is well controlled we will look back, but now is the time to do everything possible to minimize deaths, and be ready to go back to work.

Then and only then, is the time for assigning blame, and second guessing.

Just realize that NOW our police, paramedics, Medical staff, grocery store employees, truckers are walking into the fire, to help you.

The fact is the war China declared on the USA is equivalent to 30 Pearl Harbors.  How many years now has China been flooding the USA with Fentanyl, killing tens of thousands each year?  How many tens of thousands in the USA will die of the Corona Virus 19?  Too many.

The time has come to recognize China as a rogue nation, and begin tapering off trade with China.  End all Pharma production in China, with mandatory minimums for production of all pharma in the USA.  End the manufacture of any part for DOD.  I don't care if it is a 2 cent part, end it now.

Meet with the G8 and have all nations curb trading relations with China for the next ten years.  And make it a condition that any more infections from China result in the end of all trade with them.

End educating their population in our universities.  If we are losing $500 billion in intellectual property each year, ending that will end a lot of the intellectual property loss.

More people are dying as a result of China's policies in the USA than died during a declared war with Japan during WWII.  Figure 50,000 from Fentanyl and 30,000 from Corona x 2 years = 160,000 dead; 3 years = 240,000 dead.  At what point do we wake up to what they are about?
