Probably hold onto it in case we owe taxes this year.  I should take the time to do our taxes, but since that date has been pushed out till July ... I am in no hurry.

BTW my only option to vote was NOYB and toilet paper -- so I didn't cast a vote.

I get zilch...   Where's that option?

OTOH, I realize my taxes will be going up incrementally (or, inflation eating into the cash) to  help pay for the rest of the country's check.
Don't get me started.

If it’s auto deposit, it will go for things like rent, utilities, water bill, etc. And a pint or two of ice cream. Being in self quarantine im getting a little blue sometimes, and a spoonful of ice cream makes it better.

External home repairs to address water and ice damage. If we're gonna be stuck here, I figure that's a good investment.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. I won't be getting any, but if somebody screws up and sends me money, I'll give it away to a local charity that needs it because the town industry was shut down on the 18th.  8,000 out of a total population of 35,000 are out of work.

What coronavirus check?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Knowing the IRS, they will want it back with interest and penalty.

One of my X's is in trouble 80 miles away and wants to ride out the storm here, worse I've got to go pick her up, her Ford broke down, again.
There goes my check, since she hasn't paid taxes in years, she won't get one.

You'd be a fool to do it.  4 weeks with an ex?  Are you not completely sane?  Just Askin.

@Gefn

Gefn, I checked "Pay down debt" - I will use it to help pay income tax.  The govn. taxed me, then gave me money to pay it.  I will believe it after it shows up in my bank account.

ICE CREAM: Today, Bob picked up groceries from Kroger after ordering on line.  The Kroger clerk brought the groceries to the car.  Before the clerk did that, he went to the frozen section and got our four half gallons of ice cream.  I eat ice cream in the evening as it helps me sleep - has to the be the milk in ice cream that does that.

Off topic: Yesterday, got an email from a credit card company, asking if I bought, on line, a $170 cheesecake from Houston, Texas. The email said to call credit card company.  I did and they are sending a new card.  How does someone get your card number?  Who would buy a $170 cheesecake??

Well, enjoy your ice cream -- I have to watch the sugar and cholesterol (sigh).  We splurge once in awhile.

As for credit cards -- I also received 2 fraud alerts a couple of days ago and had to shut down that card.  It was after I used it to purchase some items for delivery from the local supermarket.

Could something to do with this virus thing, made it easier for crooks to get our card numbers?  Some bit of card safety guard quit working?

Yahbut...bringing on the Ex (I assume her purpose is getting fed) will take the excitement from zero to Mach 1 in seconds.  You'll remember in the first two days why "Ex" is attached to her name, and the next 28 hiding in a closet to keep from being killed.

Somebody who doesn't expect to pay for it. Sounds like it was probably a good bet.

Regarding ice cream @Victoria33 . I live in a very rural area. I don't keep ice cream in the house and only eat it maybe twice a year although I do love it.

Anyway, last week three nights in a row I started craving ice cream...really strong craving. On the fourth day I decided the heck with it...I'm going to go to DQ and get a dip cone. I mean, what if I die tomorrow? Before I could get dressed to drive to town I started hearing what sounded like an ice cream truck from my youth. Since that has never happened in the 33 years I have lived here I decided I was hallucinating and was about to call my neighbor to come and take me to the near by state coo-coo hospital...but there came an ice cream truck!! I still can't believe it! Those pricey ice cream sandwiches tasted like nirvana and are rationed.

Since then I have thought what a great idea it was. I wish I could acquire a "roach coach" some way and peddle tacos, pizza and casseroles. I'm always a day late and a dollar short! happy77

When I contacted my card company they were working with a greatly reduced staff and service was limited.  I was on hold for almost 3 hours ... but I needed to respond in person in order to get a new card.

Sure seems like the thieves are targeting supermarket delivery services.  I went through Instacart.
