Except the young Dem prez candidates had their chance. If all the younger Dem voters had wanted a younger candidate, they could have had one. But enough of them didn't step up to the plate....not enough voted.
I didn't read all the demographics as to who was voting for Sanders and Biden, but I do recall seeing many photos of Sanders with what looked like very young people in the background cheering for him.
Of course, I should add that what looks "very young" to me now can be people in their forties and fifties.
But it did look like Sanders had the support of millions of young people under thirty.

Could it be that most of the younger candidates were found wanting...even by the very low Dem standards?
Look at Beetle O'Rourke. After being pumped up by the media to be another JFK or RFK, he turned out to be a dud. He's 47, and a more immature lout of a candidate I've never seen.
Pete Bootyjunk? The right demographic i.e. young, male, uber liberal homosexual.
Didn't hardly get anything after early primaries.
A worse slate of prospective nominees for a major party I've never seen. All ultra-liberal/left except for maybe Biden who will say anything to get the nomination. If he can remember who and where he is half the time. He's gone 180 degrees from many of his past stances on key issues to appeal to the ever-growing numbers of far-left Dem voters.
Of course, the writer/scribbler of this article, Derek Thompson, looks like a typical liberal meathead who signs on to all the trendy left/liberal nostrums for "correcting" American society. 33 years old, and naturally he knows what is best for America. In a pig's a**.
