The New York Times Tries to Spread Panic About Ventilators, Gets Epically Fact-Checked

The New York Times has been one of the worst news outlets during the Wuhan virus pandemic. They’ve consistently taken partisan positions and purposely mislead the public. For example, after Nancy Pelosi tried to blowup the latest relief package, the Times decided to say it was the fault of Republicans — who had previously negotiated the bill in a bipartisan manner –because of course they did.

Today, the paper of record went back to the old steadfast during this crisis, which is to try to create panic in order to score political points.

Those lies always sound so powerful in the moment they are made.  The problem comes about in the aftermath, when the dire consequences predicted don't happen but people remember the scare tactics used by the media.  That's why their credibility is in the toilet.

Lies are quickly and facilely told. Finding the contradicting information takes time and often a detailed explanation.

Newspapers like the New York Times and the Washington Post are no longer at all motivated by a desire to serve the public, or even to increase their readership. Instead, they are motivated by a narrow, identitarian political partisanship which in this case is intended to damage the President and his administration, which they loathe more than any virus.
