National Guard rolls into New York City with mounted machine guns

The New York Army National Guard is in the Big Apple- and they brought firepower.
Video footage leaked from the streets of NYC shows a glimpse of the situation on the ground, with HMMWVs and cargo trucks lumbering through the streets, equipped with medium and heavy machine guns.
The HMMWVs were armed with M2 .50-caliber and M240B 7.62x51mm machine guns, pointed up and away to avoid “flagging†people on the ground, opting to instead flag people on higher levels of the buildings they passed.
The vehicles were still sporting the distinctive desert paint scheme from the Global War on Terror, primarily Afghanistan and Iraq.
