New York Times discovers: lockdowns don't really work.

It appears clear that the playbook for slowing the spread of the virus used in Western Europe and the United States may not work everywhere. Societies with informal economies simply cannot enforce lockdowns without running the risk of societal collapse.

But even those countries that have made progress after being hit hard by the first wave of the virus are by no means out of the woods. Social-distancing rules in many places — and adherence to them — remain haphazard, little match for the most basic of human desires: to connect.

While for those in urban Democrat-run enclaves, this appears to be particularly lethal compared to the effects in saner jurisdictions, I have to wonder how many died of "cooking the books" rather than the disease itself, and in that group I would include all given the one or two of three medications regimen designed to prove the POTUS wrong, when all they were doing, ultimately was trying to discredit a Jewish Doctor who should have been lauded for his efforts to save lives instead of pulled off of YouTube.

COVID was just a test to see how the MSM could skew the narrative, with the Global Socialists pushing the pawns.
When that was losing its edge, then the riots and such to see how far individuals can be managed and pushed.

The county where I live has some of the most widespread testing availability anywhere. Anyone who wants one can get one, and because of state restrictions, some professions have to get tested regularly. We've had about a half-dozen cases this week. Only one showed any symptoms. The same story played out last week. Now, could they be asymptomatic carriers? Maybe. But I'm leaning more and more toward it being false positives.

The fact remains that even with the ramp-up in testing, and the much-ballyhooed increase in the southwest, cases are still going down nationwide: 23,000 new cases were reported yesterday compared to 25,000 last Friday.
