I’m assuming she’s probably a 12 hour versus the regular eight hours? We have RNs that do work 12 hour shifts. I’m just a plain old eight hour RN
Yeah, something like that... She's on 2/12, and on call 2/12 and gets paid for 40.
That may not be exactly commonplace as she is specialized OB ICU...
But she was much the same before she made it to OB, when she worked Emergency/Trauma/ICU
By the way, I hear she is on notice: All hands on deck if this hits here... Which means I reckon, an honest 40 or more, which is a substantial increase in staffing by itself.
