I don't know how to read that @Hoodat Please elaborate because I want to understand you, and because I think you make intelligent and solid arguments.  Who is trying get Trump out of the white house, and what are they doing besides the 15 day guidelines that the President has recommended, and repeated, and reinforced?

I still don't like President Trump, and I still have no intention of voting for him in Nov despite being in approval with his actions recently...although if my family and friends remain healthy he's got a better shot at my vote.  I want the President to succeed.

It may be that what has, so far, saved Mexico from Italy's fate is that Mexican industries have less work done in China. But with open air transportation and Mexico's healthcare system, I think they are very vulnerable.

Taiwan Says It Warned WHO About Coronavirus In December, But Its Warnings Were Ignored

Taiwan is blaming the World Health Organization’s relationship with China for its failure to act on early warnings of human-to-human transmission of coronavirus.

Taiwanese health officials alerted WHO of the infectivity of coronavirus in late December 2019, but the organization failed to report the claims to other countries, according to a Financial Times report.

Weeks after receiving Taiwan’s warning, on Jan. 14, WHO repeated China’s claim that coronavirus was not contagious among humans.

Taiwan reported its concerns to a WHO framework called the International Health Regulations on Dec. 31, 2019. The IHR framework is intended to be an exchange of epidemic data between 196 countries.

“While the IHR’s internal website provides a platform for all countries to share information on the epidemic and their response, none of the information shared by our country’s [Centers for Disease Control] is being put up there,” Taiwanese Vice President Chen Chien-Jen told the Financial Times.

“The WHO could not obtain first-hand information to study and judge whether there was human-to-human transmission of COVID-10. This led it to announce human-to-human transmission with a delay, and an opportunity to raise the alert level both in China and the wider world was lost,” Chen added.

WHO declined to comment on Taiwan’s accusation, telling the Financial Times it holds “frank and open discussions on sometimes sensitive issues” with countries and in order to maintain trust it needs to “respect the confidentiality of such communications.”

While he was alive, he was told to be quiet by the authorities before later being diagnosed with the virus himself.

Fox News reports China exonerated a doctor from Wuhan this week who was officially reprimanded for giving early warnings about the coronavirus in late December and died from it months later.

Italy on Friday reported its largest one-day coronavirus death toll, as 627 people died from the disease in the country that has been rocked by the pandemic, The Associated Press reported.

Earlier this week, Italy surpassed China in most coronavirus-related deaths. Italy now has more than 40,000 confirmed cases of the virus and more than 3,400 deaths, according to The New York Times.

The country is in a nationwide lockdown. Residents must have written permission from the government to leave their homes.

GIven that anitmalarials have some apparent efficacy against this virus, I wonder if Sickle Cell Anemia (which also gives some resistance to Malaria, albeit at some cost to the person with the disease) gives a measure of resistance?

Not to be a tinfoil hat type, but WHO isn't relevant to most unless there is a global outbreak, or a serious epidemic somewhere. They're just trying to establish more turf in the quest for bureaucratic relevance, on a global scale.
