Confusing headline. The meat of the story pertains to preventing terrorists from working with TSA.

174 House Dems Vote Against Anti-Sexual-Predator Amendment
Dozens of Dems join GOP to prevent TSA from hiring people with sexual misconduct, terror convictions
Collin Anderson - March 5, 2020 7:45 PM

Forty-two House Democrats bucked party leadership on Thursday to pass an amendment ensuring that individuals convicted of sex crimes, terrorism, and other violent offenses cannot be employed by the TSA.

Despite their support for the #MeToo movement against sexual misconduct, 174 House Democrats voted against an amendment to the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act that alters the way TSA disciplines and fires workers. The amendment divided Democrats on Thursday despite the fact that it was written by Democratic Rep. Lauren Underwood (Ill.). House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) criticized liberal lawmakers for attempting to sabotage efforts to safeguard the public from sexual predators. ...

Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D, Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), as well as House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D., Md.), all voted against Underwood's amendment when Rep. Debbie Lesko (R., Ariz.) put it forward in a motion to recommit—the last opportunity for a House bill to be amended before a final passage vote. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) did not vote on the motion.  ...

AFGE hailed the passage of the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act as a "huge win for the hardworking women and men who risk their lives to ensure we reach our travel destinations safely." An AFGE spokesman said the union took no position on Lesko's amendment, though it has previously invoked #MeToo to decry budget cuts at other agencies.

A powerful fixture in Democratic politics, AFGE has already spent nearly $1 million on the 2020 election, with 95 percent going to Democrats. It has made the bargaining power of TSA workers a central point in determining its 2020 endorsements; both Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and former vice president Joe Biden pledged to end the agency's exemption to Title 5 if elected president in an AFGE questionnaire. President Donald Trump announced that he plans to veto the bill if it advances past the Senate.

the rats are voting against the union and Trump is voting with the rats.   :pondering:

GUESS WHO voted against the the bipartisan House amendment that would stop convicted Muslim terrorists from becoming TSA agents?

March 6, 2020 by BareNakedIslam

Led by the two radical Muslim Congresswomen, Olhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), as well as jihadi sympathizer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), 174 Democrats voted against an amendment to the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act that would keep people convicted of terrorism, sexual assault, and other violent crimes from working for the Transportation Security Agency (TSA).

Daily Caller  Fortunately, all the Republicans and 42 Democrats joined forces to pass the amendment.

The vast majority of Democrats, including House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer did not support the legislation and voted against the amendment, which was authored by Democratic Illinois Rep. Lauren Underwood.

@rangerrebew

Of course they refused to support it. The DNC is composed of Communists, and communists KNOW they will never rule over America unless there is a violent revolution that would justify them declaring a state of emergency exists, and enacting Martial Law "for the duration of the emergency". The thing is,THEY will be the only ones with the authority to declare the emergency is over,so they become de facto Czars who will never have to face re-election by the pubic ever again, and have the ability to create laws without discussion or debate.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

'The Squad' leads opposition against amendment preventing TSA from hiring sex criminals and terrorists
by Andrew Mark Miller   | March 07, 2020

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her three fellow members of "the Squad" stood in the way of an amendment Thursday that would prevent individuals convicted of sexual misconduct, violent crimes, or terrorism from being hired by the Transportation Safety Administration.

During a debate on a bill expanding TSA worker protections, Democratic Illinois Rep. Lauren Underwood put forward an amendment that 174 Democrats voted against, which would have prevented the TSA from hiring people with sexual misconduct and terrorism convictions, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Ocasio-Cortez declined to vote on the amendment, as did Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

I just heard about this, in case this was not posted yet.  It sounds pretty outrageous.
