Yes, he ought to clarify, because if the quote is accurate what he said was misleading at best and irresponsible at worst.
But he won't because he never admits he shouldn't have done or said anything.
It's always someone else's fault.
So true. And you can see even though I admitted that this article was misleading they still trash me. I could say he intentionally downplayed and I believe I would be correct. I live in Washington. I have stated that before here. We want concise accurate information. We go to work other people are sick and still coming to work, or their family is sick and they are trying to determine by reading and listening if it is coronavirus. We need good information that we can count on. But of course they turned this into a poor Trump Chosen Daughter is just posting all negative.....blah, blah, blah.
Some of them don't even like Trump and their only reason to puff Trump up and make excuses is that he is the only option other than Socialism. Well what wasn't misleading is the fact that Trump said his rallies are "very safe". He is wrong, because people don't even know how to distinguish the common flu or cold from the coronavirus. And while this could be a misleading article at best the president downplays a serious virus taking lives.
Pence was all over the news yesterday with his elbow bumps. He didn't say much but he is much more official sounding, and at least caring. The fact that they all were bumping elbows says this isn't the normal flu or cold. And the president should convey it in the strongest terms.
And elbow bumps BTW look pretty ridiculous. If you can't shake hands just don't.

Trump should stop talking about coronavirus

Nothing he says there is strictly untrue. It is likely that the *current* WHO death rate of 3.4 percent will be revised downward over time as testing expands from the most critically ill cases to people with mild symptoms. And he was right when he complained this morning that he never encouraged anyone who’s under the weather to go to work. He says it matter-of-factly in the clip: Some people with mild symptoms might head to the office without even realizing that they have COVID-19. The problem with what he told Hannity last night isn’t specific misinformation, it’s the overall emphasis. Watching the segment, the average person’s takeaway would be, “Well, maybe this is no big deal.â€
But it is a big deal.
