There is a quote (with quotation marks ) in the article.

I simply asked if that was what he really said (no one has claimed otherwise).

What is quoted is confusing at best, and open to multiple interpretations.

Several here clearly interpret his word soup in the most positive light they can.... and clearly you are among them.

I just think that, since he is unable to speak cogently, he should be at the ready to have an interpreter around to say what he really meant to say.

I try so hard here to make everyone happy....I have had people give me ultimatums that they would leave unless I ban people...I have had a what I supposed a dear friend leave and start her own forum for Trump fans only yet she lets people in that she has told me she couldn't stand and wanted them banned...the hypocrisy is breathtaking...

If you take the time to read though this thread, you will find that the vast majority of thread contributors are challenging the veracity of the claim.  And they do so without having to denigrate the entire site.  Nothing toxic about that.

For my Mimosas, I use cheap-ass California Sparkling White, with Sunny-D-Lite.  No point in ruining good bubbly.

There is also Tequila Sunrise Mimosas.

You can make your own version of course but:

Mimosas are supremely simple bubbly cocktails made with sparkling wine and orange juice. They’re light, fizzy and easy to sip.

When I first started dating my hubby his family invited me over for Easter brunch.  We started at 10:00 after the church service and they went through a case of champagne drinking Mimosas by noon. I had to take a nap by 1:00.  Those were the good ole days!

I didn't say that it "backed up the headline." 

I said it was word soup that needed an interpreter to make it clear as to what he was actually trying to say. (It is, and it does).
