Republicans, rooting for Sanders, see Biden wins as setback
By Alexander Bolton - 03/05/20 06:00 AM EST

Republican lawmakers are surprised and disappointed by the results of Super Tuesday, which firmly re-established former Vice President Joe Biden as the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination and dealt Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) a major setback.

Republican senators conceded Wednesday they would rather face Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, as the opposing nominee, instead of Biden, whom they consider more mainstream and tougher to draw a contrast with.

In the battle for the Senate, Republicans would like to tie Democratic candidates to Sanders and socialism, and generally see Biden as a stronger candidate. Similarly, Democrats were uneasy about Sanders as their standard-bearer, and Biden has made this a point of attack on the campaign trail, arguing he would help Democrats take back the Senate.

You think it's funny watching a Communist hijack the Democratic Party until he does and then WINS, and we end up in a Communist state.

I think the challenge President Trump is going to face is how to beat Biden without appearing to "stomp" him.  Everyone is aware of Biden's "mental" issues so any real thumping may look harsh and generate sympathy votes.  Sanders would be easier to be beat as he is also a street fighter...

It doesn't matter which one is nominated.  Biden is glaringly senile, and Bernie is a communist, and on top of that crazy.  Yes, crazy.  Nothing he says makes any sense for this nation.  All the money in the entire country would not fund his insane programs, and on top of it all, he has embraced the Green New Deal, the idea of the new Democommie Party architect, AOC.

Fprmer bartender, now voice for all Dems has Pied Pipered them down a path of absolute lunacy.  People vote for Democommies at the peril of this nation and demise of tens of millions of jobs permanently.  The USA would once again become dependent on foreign suppliers for energy.

And on top of this, I still contend that if there is a brokered convention, and I think we will have a brokered convention, I see HRC muscling her way to lead the party.  Slo Joe and Crazy Bernie will both appear as very weak candidates by July, and when HRC says I will carry the banner, they pounce on her candidacy.

I'm not rooting for Sanders. I'm rooting for the complete and utter self-destruction of the Democrat party.

Biden would be less of a threat to down ticket races than Sanders would be for the Democrats
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

That's what it's all about, and Joe admitted as much recently in a rare lucid moment.
