The prevailing wisdom of the past few months is that this hot mess of a Democratic primary would finally start to clear up a lot after Super Tuesday. With Bernie Sanders stealing almost all of the thunder for weeks as votes finally began to be cast, it looks like the higher-ups in the party decided to get some contingency plans rolling a bit early.

Hot on the heels of Mayor Pete exiting the race, Amy Klobuchar bailed as well, and immediately threw her endorsement to der Bidengaffer.

Both candidates saw the writing on the wall after Biden’s overwhelmingly decisive victory in South Carolina last Saturday. His thumping of Sanders proved that the battle for the soul of the Democratic party was well and truly on.

Rumors began spreading late yesterday that Biden would receive Beto O’Rourke’s endorsement at a rally in Texas. Just as he did in the primaries, Mayor Pete decided to steal Beto’s spotlight and throw his nod to Biden as well.

Well,SOMEBODY has to remain neutral in case the party splinters and there is a desperate need for a leader to step forward,right?

I am sure she doesn't want the presidency,but if someone were to wave the flag in her face and tell her America is depending on her,she would reluctantly take up the banner in order to "save America from Bad Orange Man".

I think so,too. The long-time Dim congresscritters and US Senators ain't going anywhere,and they won't be losing any money. Their jobs are secure as is their graft. They can just cruise until the end of Trump's second term and THEN come up with someone fresh to challenge a fresh Rep presidential candidate.

I never wanted to be president growing up....too much of a hassle and nuts wanting to shoot you.
I never thought about the renumerations after being president.
If I knew I could earn 400 large just for mouthing off at a gathering of swells, I might have rethought about being prez. Do one term and then scram.
Now for the matter of me being qualified to be president....let me think on that one.

Yes and no. I too am relieved that not all Dem voters are totally crazy.
However, the fact that a Marxist nut like Sanders, who is not even  a Democrat, can get as far as he has is cause for  distress. In fact, he could still get nominated.
That means a very sizable percentage of the American public thinks a socialist can be a good president in a country built by capitalism and free markets.
I've read that even many Silicon valley millionaires and billionaires support Sanders. Half of the voters in this country are totally wacko.

Exactly and the fact that Trump and Barr are going to have a very difficult time holding either Biden or Hunter responsible for their actions on Burisma and China now.  Anything they do will only reinforce the notion that Trump tried to take him down because he didn't want to run against him.

IF Obama jumps in to endorse him, I believe we could very well see a President Biden.

Certainly, a lot of Sanders's support is coming from people recently entering the country who are looking for handouts.
Nevertheless, there's a sizable percentage of the youth population who think Sanders will deliver The Great Green Utopia. There's even Silicon Valley filthy rich yobs who support him knowing that he'll rob them blind at the first opportunity.
That's a definition of insanity. And the spread is worse than the coronavirus.
