Biden on Tuesday credited O’Rourke for helping him in Texas on election day — and securing the biggest share of the state's 228 delegates.

Nah. Them yellow dog democrats just had to vote for somebody.

But remember, he’s still @JoeBiden

It surprised me a bit, Walker would go this route...his words weren't mean but posting one of those videos?

But I've met a number of affectionate persons in this age range. Maybe that's the way Ol' Joe is. I don't know. People do act that way.

Broomfield talked of a brokered convention but it looks like former 4th place candidate Biden can almost walk it. We'll see what the Bernie camp has to say.

I've got to say again, he came in late to the game. Even Amy probably got a lot of national exposure in the debates.

The campaign seems a bit ill-conceived to me, he came in late. He and others, probably thought the timing was right but it seems to be a misjudgement.

Republican Pierce Bush, a grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, failed to advance out of Tuesday's primary in his bid for a Houston congressional seat, becoming the first member of his family to lose a race in Texas in more than 40 years.

Aside from the recognition of coming from America's most enduring Republican dynasty, Bush 34, was endorsed by the outgoing GOP incumbent, Rep. Pete Olson and raised more money than many of the other 14 candidates in the field.

...

Maybe that was some part of why Mr. Bush lost.  Perhaps people don't want a dynasty.

Kinda sad, since I was reading that before this election, Mr. Bush was already being touted as a future president.

He spent $452 million / 327.2 million people = $1.38 per person

For comparison, Beto in Texas 2018 spent ~$20/vote.

Had the tv on for about an hour this morning.  Not a single Bloomberg campaign ad.  If he's not going to drop out, he's at least thinking about it.

Here's the big news from yesterday:

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Well, I won't have anybody who would represent me on November's ballot for the House or State Senate. As usual. OTOH, there is an R who will be on the November ballot for State Assembly, though I doubt he'll get as much as 40% of the vote. 'Sokay, I haven't been represented in Congress or Sacto in decades. Hopefully Anna Eshoo will be among the minority in the House come 2021.

The fauxny Proposition 13, which would have authorized school districts to load up on bond debt is getting crushed, ~56% No to ~44% Yes. This was a pleasant surprise, that the For the Children ploy didn't work. OTOH, a parcel tax for my high school district won, 57%-43%, sighhhhh ......... this "cow" is tired of being milked.

FWIW, the Never-Trumper "candidates" got ~7.4% of the R Presidential vote.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

That is hilarious, @Bigun. If that level of enthusiasm holds out through November it'll be epic.

Not trying to underscore your point, but there were plenty of local elections all over the state that were close and contested.
Main reason I voted.

:yowsa: And several of those are yet to be decided.  Big surprise for me was Ryan Sinton losing.

I really don't want to crunch all the numbers nation wide, but I would venture that 7-8% of GOP went out of their way yesterday to purposely vote AGAINST Trump.  This is contradictory to the lies that the 100% Trump 100% of the time faction here claim that he has a 94-95% approval rating within the party.

If polled, I'd say "Neither  Approve or Not Approve"......   But will vote for him versus the Socilaist in November anyway.

I don’t think so. Bloomberg said he wants to use his money to defeat Donald. Pending a miracle or a brokered convention he can’t win. So he’ll have to use his money to support either Biden or Bernie, or make an official announcement about Hillary or who will be his runnning mate.

Now if history serves me correctly, in 68 Nixon won against Humphrey with Wallace as the third party. I don’t recall if Wallace helped or hindered Nixon.

In 1980 Reagan won over Carter with John Anderson as the third party person. I can tell you I know people in real life both parties who voted for Anderson, so I’m not sure if he took major votes away from either party.

The only other third person I can recall in my lifetime is in 1992, Clinton Bush Perot. According to Wikipedia, Perot got 18.9% of the popular vote. If it had been a two person race, would Bush have been a two term president? Would Clinton never had been?

This is my gut why Bloomberg won’t run as a third party for president. Because of Perot. He could take votes away from Trump, and he could take votes away from the Democrats. Huge risk. My gut is telling me Trump will be a two term president.

Bloomberg may technically drop out of the raise but there is nothing saying that he can't buy air time and run anti-Trump ads.  They don't have to be Bloomers ads.

The Democratic "establishment" is not delivering wins for Biden tonight -- Democratic voters are doing it.  Blacks, Latinos, suburban women, college educated and working class. It's insulting to these voters to suggest they are being coerced.

You can't insult people so stupid they think mandatory socialism is a good thing.

@sneakypete

True.  However, as I said before, if Biden was to become president, he may have to agree to the agenda if the commie radicals dominate.
