House will attempt to revive Equal Rights Amendment this week

The House is poised this week to pass a measure that would revive the long-dead Equal Rights Amendment by repealing the 1982 deadline imposed on states to ratify it.

The measure, H.J. Res. 79, would “permanently reopen the ratification process for the amendment by eliminating the deadline,” the Congressional Budget Office reported.

The amendment has gained new life in recent years. Many of the women in the House Democratic Caucus sported ERA pins during President Trump’s State of Union address on Tuesday and wore white to symbolize the suffragist movement.

But the effort to resuscitate the ERA faces significant obstacles.

The GOP-led Senate is unlikely to endorse the House measure.

The left is grasping for straws now knowing that Trump is capturing some of the black vote. The left could care less about equal rights.  This is nothing more than a ploy to get the GOP on record with votes for or against equal rights.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Nice to see our government getting back to the most important issues -- the house with the so-called equal rights amendment and Trump advocating for Pete Rose to be admitted to the Hall of Fame --  now that the impeachment farce is over.

@Applewood

Cheer up! Trump didn't win the most votes in the Dim primary in Iowa! Whoever your favorite Communist is still has a 1 in 100 shot of winning!

Identity Politics is all the Left has left.

They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

It was. The DEMS are having a revival.  Equal rights and rich ole whitey keeping the black man down is their next attempt at trying to lure voters back to their side. So far their lame attempts have backfired, let's hope this does as well.
