•   Pierce Bush—the latest member of the Bush family to seek public office—is coming under fire for comments he made accusing the majority of practicing American Christians of being akin to Muslim terrorists. He is a candidate for the GOP primary in Congressional District 22. Cary Cheshire reports on a 2006 letter Bush published in the Houston Chronicle saying Christians must “accommodate our progressive world society” and should set aside various beliefs and practices.
   
•   A “progressive world society” to which Christians’ beliefs must be changed to “accommodate”? Is Pierce Bush really a Republican?
   
•   You might recall the Daily Caller revealed in December that Bush participated in an anti-Donald Trump protest march shortly after the president’s inauguration. Bush was there to oppose President Trump’s proposed immigration and travel restrictions. “No ban. No fear. Refugees are welcome here,” Bush wrote on Facebook at the time.
   
•   After voters rejected their last spending proposal for being too extravagant, school district officials in Allen are gearing up for a new bond offering. Erin Anderson has the details. Allen residents voted against the district’s 2019 bond proposal 53-47 percent.
