Bolton's lawyer disputes NSC assessment that manuscript contains classified information
By Olivia Beavers - 01/29/20 06:31 PM EST

John Bolton's lawyer released an email Wednesday that said he and the former national security adviser do not think material in an unpublished manuscript written by Bolton about the Trump administration includes classified information, disputing the National Security Council's assessment.

Charles Cooper, a lawyer for the former national security adviser, also asked the NSC to promptly provide specifics about what they assessed to be classified information.

"We do not believe that any of the information could reasonably be considered classified. But given that Ambassador Bolton could be called to testify as early as next week, it is imperative that we have the results of your review of that chapter as soon as possible," Cooper wrote to an NSC official in a letter dated Jan. 24.

Oops, how did this slip all the way down there?   John Bolton has become the next tragic victim of Trumps cover up team.  Anybody that doesn't go along deserves to be labeled for the rest of their lives.  Not to have a career or ever be respected again.  Is it any wonder that Jeff Sessions is sucking up now?  No because he is trying to climb out of the hell hole of working for Trump.  Probably hoping that somehow his good name can be restored in the era of Trump.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

Nah.
The real question is one of who allegedly leaked the material allegedly from the manuscript the NSC were reviewing for National Security reasons (to remove classified information, if present).
Whoever was/were doing the review must have a security clearance, just to look for classified material (and to know what it is), so, if anyone leaked anything to the NYT, they should lose their job and likely be behind bars.
Otherwise, the NYT's claims of what Bolton did or didn't say in his book were hearsay, and cannot be confirmed nor denied without a copy of the book, which has not been released from review.

See how the NYT and the Dems set that up? Iinnuendo, not proof. Fake but accurate. Shades of Dan Rather (how quickly people forget).

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
