So why did you not subpoena John Bolton in your Committee and seek to enforce that?

Schiff is now highlighting the differences between the Trump lawyers’ arguments in the impeachment trial vs. in the McGahn case, where DOJ attorneys are saying the House has no standing to ask the courts to resolve a subpoena dispute. WH lawyers saying the opposite in this trial.

After Mitch McConnell and Lisa Murkowski met this morning, it was clear at the Senate GOP lunch that the votes are there to defeat a motion for additional witnesses and to move for an up-or-down vote on impeachment articles Friday.

So: Bolton lawyer discusses book clearance with NSC on Jan 22. On Jan 23, NSC informs Bolton side in writing that book had 'significant amounts' of classified info. Then, amazingly enough, story gets to NYT, which publishes scoop on Jan 26.
