Rep. Ilhan Omar is reportedly under an FBI investigation into claims that she married her own brother.

Two agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who met with a source about the Minnesota Democrat’ s marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, will be sharing their findings with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US Department of Education, according to the New York Post. The story was first reported by The Blaze in October.

Omar, whose office has not commented on the report, has previously dismissed the claims as ‘baseless, absurd rumors.” The alleged investigations have also not been confirmed by the FBI, ICE nor the US Department of Education.

Concerns were reportedly raised at the meeting with FBI agents last year that Omar married Elmi, a British citizen, so he could get a green card and study in the U.S. If the rumors that Elmi is actually the Democrat lawmaker’s brother,  she could be found guilty of committing marriage fraud and face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

FBI reviewing claims Ilhan Omar married her brother

WASHINGTON, DC — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reviewing claims Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother, The Post has learned.

Two FBI agents held an hours-long meeting in Minnesota in mid-October with a concerned party who handed over a trove of documents regarding Omar’s 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a source with knowledge of the event said.

At the meeting, first reported by website The Blaze, the agents discussed concerns the Somali-born Democrat married Elmi, a British citizen rumored to be her brother, so he could obtain a green card and study in America, the source said.

The two agents said they would share the information with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the US Department of Education, but did not commit to opening an investigation into the firebrand lawmaker, the source said.

1. Her manager defends the Baltimore riots, wants “less MLK”.

2. Her alleged 2016 “enforcer,” an ex-con (triple stabbing), was at the event.

He has been threatening me since.

I take threats to my safety seriously, and will always immediately involve law enforcement.

Upon finding his posts, I informed the @FBI SAC who has been reviewing @IlhanMN’s case, and my attorney.

Scott Johnson immediately contacted federal enforcement as well.

 Update:

After I reported his threats against me to the @FBI SAC reviewing @IlhanMN’s file, he deleted many.

Yet he left one threat live.

He had 24 hours. I have to conclude he means what he says. Am taking further action.

Let’s see if @StarTribune finds him newsworthy yet.
