Iraq's parliament votes to expel US military
By Regina Zilbermints - 01/05/20 10:04 AM EST

Iraq's parliament reportedly voted on Sunday to expel the U.S. military from the country after an American airstrike killed top Iranian military commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad.

Last week's attack, which came on the heels of a number of other incidents between the U.S. and Iranian-backed militants, ratcheted up tensions in the region as Tehran threatened retaliation and Iraq protested the strike within its borders.

The resolution passed Sunday demanded an end to foreign military presence in the country, with the aim of forcing the U.S. to withdraw 5,000 troops, according to The Associated Press. It also calls for ending an agreement that allowed the U.S. to send troops to Iraq to help fight the Islamic State.

Most Shiite members of parliament backed the resolution, the AP noted, adding that many Sunni and Kurdish legislators reportedly did not attend the special session and are believed to oppose the measure.

Works for me, just as soon as we finish kicking Iran's ass up to their shoulders.

Wire the embassy with enough explosives and when we the last man leaves let all the happy muzzies in the building.  When it looks full, blow the place to hell.

Love the idea.  Would also completely saturate the soil with pork innards before implosion.

Important information under reported in Western media about “vote” to expel US from #Iraq

Appears Kurdish & Sunni blocs in parliament boycotted the session.

If true it doesn’t just reveal sectarian divide over U.S. presence, it prevents quorum needed for vote to be binding.

I think Rubio has one tweet talking about an independent Kurdistan in Iraq. I'd have to get up to snuff on this, they do already have an independent region for Kurds there.

May not have a quorum.

Good find!  So...The Iraqi government colluded with Iran to prevent an election?  Somebody better get Robert Mueller on the job.

Iran is Shiite so pretty clear who won that...
Good thing the sunni's and kurdish refused to vote... that'll show 'em...

Realizing that's sarc....

refusing to show up and/or vote is essentially "handing the win" to the opposition.... in most instances.

Which is exactly why it is not advisable..... if you care about America's future as a free (non-communist) nation..... to just 'not bother to vote' GOP next year.   It will only aid and help the enemy within.  (for all those viewers out there that are still on the fence or are ticked off at the GOP).

Handing the nation over to the likes of Schumer, Schiff, Pelosi, and the Obamaites (Soros, Hillary, etc.)....  will end up being a fatal miss-step for millions of Americans.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

Any discussion of an operation like just happened with Soleimani would have failed if ANY dim in congress would have been consulted.

All  dims are treasonous bastards who would do anything to sabotage this POTUS,  even to the point of  tipping  our hand.   Then add the fact we have Muzzies as congresscritters.   All a reciepe for failure.

Getting "kicked out" in no way reflects negatively on our Troops and we need to make sure it does not.
They have done an outstanding job in the harshest conditions despite people, both at home and abroad, the constant attempts to undermine their every move.
