Rep. Jeff Van Drew said he decided to leave the Democratic Party when a party county chairman ordered him to vote to impeach President Trump.

The New Jersey lawmaker appeared on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures to discuss his decision to join the Republican Party. Van Drew pledged to join the GOP after voting against impeaching Trump, one of just two Democrats to vote against both articles of impeachment.

"The party is moving further and further to the Left where there’s discussions of it being a socialist party, and I am a proud capitalist. I believe in hard work," Van Drew said, criticizing the radical direction of the Democratic Party.

Good for him and I now see a very slight glimmer of hope for our Republic.

At the very least this is a gun grabber, pro abortion liberal.  He has very little positions for anyone to determine who he is.  Trump is telling people to vote for a liberal who only opposed the impeachment.  There is no way to base who this guy is because he has no positions on anything other than he has stated he supports gun legislation and abortion.

Just what we want.  Another liberal dedicated to Trump.  Trump promoting him solely because he didn't vote to impeach.  Not winning for the citizens.  Just loyalty to Trump.  It would be interesting to find out who this guy is and who he hangs out with.

All I can say is that Parties which demand loyalty over the constituency, should be barred from politics.
