Boris Johnson heading for mammoth majority and Brexit mandate: Exit poll

LONDON — Boris Johnson is on course to win 368 seats in Britain's election, according to an exit poll by U.K. broadcasters, potentially giving his Conservative Party a majority of 86, above what many pundits predicted.

It means Johnson would likely be able to deliver on his promise to take Britain out of the European Union.

Johnson all but declared victory, urging supporters to enjoy the night.

"I hope you enjoy a celebration tonight," he said in an email to party members. "You powered this campaign. We couldn't have done it without you."

My liberal Brit in-laws are going to be very unhappy. On a visit there in September the wife and I had to politely sit and listen and bite our tongues as they ran down Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, and Brexiteers.

Wonder how much success of this vote can be attributed to Muzzie fatigue and the EU's policies of coddling  that demographic.

IMO the Brits knew that etting out of the EU, paved the future for greater control of their own immigrtion destiny.

Possibly pushing Britain to Brexit were the visuals of muigrants in Calais, waiting to storm transportation from France to Britain, before the initial Brexit vote.

I hate to break it to you, but Muslims weren't the focus of Brexiters wrath,  it was "Polish Plumbers".

I seem to recall that Brits didn't have much trouble with Polish immigrants back in 1940 when their Pilots were saving Britain's Bacon.

I am for Brexit, but it's important to understand how many Brexiters think.

Aren't many/most Muslims in the UK from former British colonies? And many were in the UK pre-EU?

I saw them last year on a day trip to France.  There are big fences outside of Calais and armed guards with automatic weapons to try to deter them. You can see hundreds of the migrants milling around the roads outside Calais.  Most I saw appeared to be sub Saharan by their color.
