MSNBC host Chuck Todd mocked Texas Sen. Ted Cruz after he defended his Republican colleague Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy’s claims that Ukraine meddled in the 2016 election.

During a Meet the Press interview on Sunday, Todd asked Cruz bluntly, “Do you believe Ukraine meddled in the election in 2016.”

Cruz paused, then responded, “I do, and I think there’s considerable evidence.”

“You do?” Todd responded as laughter broke out from the set of his show.

He continued, “Senator, this sort of strikes me as odd. because you went through a primary campaign with this president. He launched a birtherism campaign against you. He went after your faith. He threatened to quote ‘spill the beans on your wife’ about something. He pushed a National Enquirer story, which we now know he had a real relationship with the editors.”

Even with 'half his brain tied behind his back' Cruz is light years ahead of Todd in intelligence and of the two only one is a partisan hack.

   Ukraine was a Russian puppet during that Presidential Election and I wouldn't be surprised that they still were and with that being said, I agree that Putin was playing both ends against the middle in 2015/16.  I don't agree with my Senator as much as I use to but this time he's spot on, IMHO.

   We (FBI, NSA, CIA) screw around in everybody else's Elections, fair game.

Exactly. The program's demise happened when reporters ceased to report and merely started regurgitating propaganda. Not sure there's an actual "reporter" left at NBC.

Upchuck Todd has gotten particularly nasty in the last year or so.  Started when he said his show won't have anyone on that doesn't believe in Global Warming.

He's gone down hill and become more of a smirking bleep ever since.
