'The nation is weaker': House GOP leader slams Democratic impeachment drive
by Susan Ferrechio
 | December 05, 2019 01:14 PM

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the decision by Democrats to draft articles impeaching President Trump has weakened the nation and stopped Congress from advancing important legislation.

“This is the day the nation is weaker because they cannot put their animosity and fear of losing the election in front of them,” McCarthy, a California Republican, told reporters Thursday.

McCarthy, 54, denied allegations by Democrats that the president abused his office by seeking Ukraine’s help investigating Democrats and Vice President Joe Biden.

Trump sought information pertaining to a Democratic party employee who sought dirt on the Trump campaign from Ukraine government officials.

The minority leader should file a privileged motion signed by all of the GOP to remove the Speaker.  Let the Dems defend her at the same time they're attacking Trump. Plenty of election fodder will prevail.
