How 1940 provides the way forward for the United States in a treacherous world
We need forward-thinking, bipartisan problem-solving.

Many Americans are downright distraught at the state of U.S. politics. Although much of this stems from domestic politics and the tumultuous Trump administration, America’s uncertain position on the world stage and increasingly tense foreign relations are also a source of stress.
The disastrous pullout from Syria, the U.S. abandonment of the its Kurdish allies, rising global challengers in China and Russia, and the apparent pursuit of personal political gain in diplomatic efforts with Ukraine have strained our alliances, raised security concerns and divided Americans. But although the landscape looks bleak, the nation has overcome much worse challenges.
