A number of police officers have been assaulted after a brawl at a Birmingham cinema.

Officers were called to Star City, an entertainment complex in the Nechells area, just after 5.30pm following reports of people with machetes.

More than 100 people were at the cinema and "pockets of fighting" broke out as officers tried to clear the area, West Midlands Police said in a statement.

A number of officers were injured and several arrests were made.

Birmingham has been called England's "Second City", so, I guess 2nd largest but from what I can tell, they are headed more towards a demographic change than the other large cities over there. Check this out:

ENGLAND

Kids turn up for a mob brawl at cinema in Birmingham armed with knives & machetes.

How old are these children?
Where the hell are their parents?
What the hell happened to this country?

I'm sure there is a lot more over this on twitter.

Will my post be removed if I observed that those youths don't look very "British" to me...?

@TomSea

And if one of the British cops on the "Special Weapons Squad" guns down that goober while he is attacking someone with the machete,the next headline you will see is "British cop guns down innocent teen in cold blood!"

To paraphrase a famous American Philosopher,"We haz met the enemy,and he owns newspapers!"

We  have similar areas in Minnesota and other cities.

  • That is the problem with everything. They try and make it better without realizing the old is fine.
