Why Apocalyptic Claims About Climate Change Are Wrong
Michael Shellenberger

Environmental journalists and advocates have in recent weeks made a number of apocalyptic predictions about the impact of climate change. Bill McKibben suggested climate-driven fires in Australia had made koalas “functionally extinct.” Extinction Rebellion said “Billions will die” and “Life on Earth is dying.” Vice claimed the “collapse of civilization may have already begun.”

Few have underscored the threat more than student climate activist Greta Thunberg and Green New Deal sponsor Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The latter said, “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change.” Says Thunberg in her new book, “Around 2030 we will be in a position to set off an irreversible chain reaction beyond human control that will lead to the end of our civilization as we know it.”

Journalism is little more than an extension of political crapola,
beloved of infantile and easily persuadable minds.
Climate change is another political quack nostrum.
The scientifically validated Age of Earth is 4,600,000,000 years (that's billion).
Mankind has verifiable climate records for less than 200 years.

Marxism, Islamism, Communism, unsustainable debt, stupid people steeped in liberal philosophies, all could bring about the collapse of society and a massive human die-off. Depending on where you are, that juggernaut is well on its way, and the end of civility could strike anywhere, any time there is an event to provoke it.

Such things have a proven and repeated track record in the 'grand experiment' of doing just that.
The marked and unmarked graves of those not scattered by the elements and scavengers provide mute testimony.
While climate has been known to have ill effect on human populations, warmer climates commonly have led to human expansion and flourishing development. It is the colder climate periods which see humans wracked by famine, hunger, and disease.

Not one thing these people propose has been shown to be beneficial in human history, quite the opposite.

As for species becoming extinct, 99.99% of all species which have ever existed died out, between the Permian and K-T events, huge die offs have occurred, involving the entire planet, and there have been numerous others long before humans became a factor.

I have stated, and will ever maintain, the greatest folly is to throw away the technologies which we have which enable us to overcome the challenges which nature presents, rather than attempt to manipulate nature to do our bidding.

Would someone please explain what it is, what gives this child the knowledge or ability to tell the rest of the Planet how to live?
Sit down, little girl, get a life, learn about life. You're just a poster child for deadly nonsense.

How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Goebbels had nothing on our media.
