Former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile took delight in Roger Stone being found guilty.

“He’s going to be sentenced on Feb. 6. I hope he roasts in hell,” Brazile told HBO host Bill Maher Friday night. “That son of a bitch!”

The former Trump associate was found guilty earlier in the day for impeding a House investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. The Republican operative faces up to 50 years in prison for lying to Congress, obstructing an investigation, and intimidating a witness, a jury determined.

The jury found that Stone, 67, repeatedly lied about his attempt during the 2016 presidential campaign to collaborate with WikiLeaks and its founder Julian Assange to obtain stolen emails and dirt on then-candidate Hillary Clinton.

I assume that's a reference to his false claim that Cruz had had affairs. Ugly. Cruz's April, 2016 claim that Stone had planned out Trump's campaign was also false, given that Stone had left Trump's campaign in August, 2015 (i.e. about a month, if that much, after Trump first announced).

I'm going to trust that the jury's verdict was based on the evidence and was correct. That said, prosecuting Stone seems VERY selective, given how many Hate-Trumper officials lied through their teeth in Congressional testimony with, so far, utter impunity.

Stone use to be a regular guest on Newsmax and there he seemed like a proper decent fellow.  I think Newsmax probably told Stone stay out of the really controversial areas.

I'm no fan of LBJ; but I think Stone clearly reached on his JFK conspiracy theories, imho. I know from reading previous conversations, a lot of people would say Stone is correct and right. 



Stone needed to reel himself in. I'm sorry that he didn't.  He should have known better. He played it too close to the edge.  Damage in part, self-inflicted to me.

Agree. FOX news radio breaks are extremely biased, too. They, as with every other news outlet, will typically have a 15-20 second audio clip of the democrat spewing a lie, then the announcer will read a 4 second terse response from the president. Never fails. Fair and balanced my ass.
